BPCL and Bounce Infinity Launch 'eDrive Stores' to Accelerate EV Adoption
In a strategic move aimed at boosting electric vehicle (EV) adoption across India, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has forged a partnership with Bounce Infinity to introduce 'eDrive stores' at select BPCL retail outlets. This initiative marks BPCL's proactive step towards transforming its fuel stations into versatile energy hubs that cater not only to traditional fuel needs but also to the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
The newly established 'eDrive stores' will serve as multi-brand centers exclusively dedicated to retailing electric two-wheelers. Positioned strategically at BPCL retail outlets, these stores aim to make EVs more accessible to consumers while raising awareness about the benefits of electric mobility. Customers visiting these outlets will have the opportunity to purchase electric two-wheelers directly, facilitating a seamless transition from conventional internal combustion engine vehicles to electric alternatives.
Pardeep Goyal, Business Head of Retail at BPCL, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in meeting evolving customer expectations and contributing to environmental sustainability. He highlighted that the partnership with Bounce Infinity aligns with BPCL's commitment to providing innovative mobility solutions through its extensive retail network.
Vivekananda Hallekare, CEO and Co-Founder of Bounce Infinity, expressed optimism about leveraging BPCL's widespread network to enhance consumer access to their range of electric vehicles. He underscored the importance of integrating charging infrastructure at each 'eDrive store', ensuring convenient charging facilities for EV owners.
Operated either by Bounce Infinity directly or through BPCL's dealer network, each 'eDrive store' will feature dedicated charging points, enhancing customer convenience and supporting the adoption of electric mobility solutions nationwide.
